With just a computer and the right software, you can produce your own album for next to nothing. There are tons of free resources available including GarageBand, which comes bundled with Apple computers. GarageBand lets you record, apply effects and mix your masterpiece. Selling Music
Who says you need a huge record label to sell your music? Use a MySpace artist page to sell music to your MySpace friends. Listening to Music
Internet radio is the way to go for free music. Although you can’t download music, you can listen without cramming your computer with mp3s. Another cool feature of Internet radio: there’s plenty of stations to choose from. Try Apple iTunes or Zune Internet Radio for hundreds of free stations.
Going to a Concert
Don’t want to pay $75 to see a band with one hit song? Skip the big ticket acts and check out bands in your own backyard. Summer fairs are great places to see a band AND spend a fun day at the fair. Also, don’t overlook local churches for up and coming artists putting on free or inexpensive shows.
